Utilities are just one of those boring yet essential bills to keeping a house warm and suitably lit – or like my home ticking over in gadgets.
You can however benefit from £100’s of extra pounds in your pocket by simply switching energy suppliers. I have been with Tonik Energy for 14 months now and during this time, I have saved close to £256 in my energy bills but also benefited from £160 in Amazon vouchers.
How you ask. Not only do they offer competitive rates of energy supply (usually featuring at the top of USwitch when you check the tick box to show all suppliers) they also offer a handsome recommend a friend service. Until recently Tonik Energy paid out a £20 Amazon to each new customer and also the customer recommending. This extra cash came in useful over Christmas for sure. As of March 2018, they seem to have stopped using external site Mention Me to handle the recommendation and now seem to have it in house.
This has meant two things. Firstly they are now on cashback websites such as TopCashback* but also now have control of being able to credit their own accounts. Meaning instead of a £20 Amazon voucher, they now offer a £25 credit to bills of the person recommending and the new customer.
This is great as not only do you earn 3% interest on any credit on your account, getting mates and family to switch too through your link will save you additionally £100’s off your energy bill.
